Oslo, 17 January 2023 (TDI): Embassy of Indonesia in Oslo won the Best stand in the Explore the World Travel Expo 2023. This took place from 14 to 15 January 2023 at Telenor Arena, Oslo.
More than seven thousand people visit Explore the World each and every time it is held, making it one of the most significant travel expos in Norway.
The fact that Indonesia’s booth design, cultural performances, and programme were so successful in drawing people in which helped the country to win the prize.

The Indonesian Ambassador to Norway, Todung Mulya Lubis underlined “We are thrilled to see the excitement of Norwegian who wants to travel again to Indonesia, especially Bali, Lombok, and Yogyakarta.
We will continue to promote Indonesian tourism to become the favorite destination for the Norwegians”.
Theme
Using the theme “It’s time for Bali and Beyond,” the Indonesian booth is always packed with Norwegian Travellers’ questions and interests who yearn to go to Indonesia after two years of the pandemic.
Moreover, the Embassy of Indonesia in Oslo has partnered with Come2Indonesia and ASIEN Paradisresor to provide Norwegian tourists with special tour packages.
Norwegian Tourists
The number of Norwegians traveling to Indonesia in 2019 exceeded 23 thousand people. People came to Indonesia for a variety of reasons. This included cultural tourism, ecotourism, and wellness tourism, which are all examples of tourism.

Although the number of tourists was decreasing due to Covid-19 restrictions, it started recovering at the end of 2022.
Additionally, the Indonesian booth also offered warm Kintamani Coffee from Bali and Mandailing from Sumatra. This was also supported by Den Gylden Bonne.

Likewise, Indonesia was proud to present two cultural performances at the expo. Rantak Dance from Sumatera and Cendrawasih Dance from Bali.
However, the Indonesian Embassy has been one of the regulars at the Explore the World travel expo since 1996.
