IMF-CEF: An Overview

The Middle East Center for Economics and Finance (IMF-CEF), which is being sponsored and hosted by the State of Kuwait, is the IMF’s regional training ground for Arab nations. 2011 saw the beginning of operations, and 2014 saw its formal opening.

Adding to that, the IMF-CEF offers a comprehensive strategy for capacity building, to more effectively align support with regional priorities.

While doing so, the Center promoted peer-to-peer knowledge acquisition and unified its training program with the policy requirements of participating countries. Also, it worked in close coordination with local stakeholders.
