Kabul (TDI): Newly appointed IEA Ambassador Abdul Ghaffar Bahr has arrived in Uzbekistan to assume leadership of the Tashkent mission, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Sunday.
Experts say that Bahr will support the implementation of newly agreed-upon initiatives between Uzbekistan and Afghanistan.
Bahr’s selection to the position was announced by the ministry on Wednesday.
This nomination, according to experts, is evidence of Afghanistan’s recent diplomatic advancements and the country’s growing ties with its neighbors, particularly Uzbekistan.
They further assert that, considering the significant projects both cities are engaged in, political ties between Tashkent and Kabul are unavoidable.
