Mozambique: July 5, 2021 (TDI): On July 4, tons of humanitarian cargo and Covid-19 related medical equipment has arrived in Mozambique through the EU’s Humanitarian Air Bridge.
The donations were from Italy and Portugal to Mozambique especially for the affected people by the conflict in Cabo Delgado Province. The three cargo planes with the donations arrived on Saturday as well.
The medical equipment includes PPEs, ventilators, masks, food, collapsible water tanks, drugs, and hygiene kits.
Mr. Francisco Andre Portugal’s Secretary of State of Foreign Affairs&Cooperation said that other EU and non-EU states should also support donations and help the people of Cabo Delgado Province in a time of crisis.
The challenges faced by the people of Cabo Delgado include drought, heat, and severe weather conditions, and now, the COVID-19 pandemic.
