On July 17, 2019, a regular session of the OSCE Security Cooperation Forum (FGC) was held in Vienna under the chairmanship of Tajikistan, dedicated to the issue of cooperation between the OSCE and the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO), with an emphasis on bilateral cooperation between the two institutions in the Central Asian region.
It should be noted that the meeting was attended by a number of prominent representatives of Central Asia, including the Secretary General of the CSTO, representatives of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as Nasir Nazarzoda, a senior researcher also discussed at the meeting.
It should be noted that the Republic of Tajikistan has a longer border with Afghanistan than other Central Asian countries and is not immune from modern threats such as terrorism and extremism, illegal circulation of printed publications and other organized crimes. It is with this in mind that the Republic of Tajikistan, led by the leader of the nation, is considered the first country to adopt a National Strategy for Countering Terrorism and Extremism for 2016-2020 to ensure national and regional security, taking into account such growing risks.
Today, the Afghan issue is not only surprising Tajikistan, but also the whole world, preventing all risks, including editorial materials, most of which are exported directly across the borders of our country. In this regard, Tajikistan has repeatedly emphasized from high rostrums, summits, and meetings that the problem of Afghanistan bordering the Republic of Tajikistan requires serious attention from neighboring and distant countries to this issue, since ensuring Tajikistan’s security is ensuring the security of Central Asia and the rest of the region.
In this regard, the OSCE has members from 57 countries, including Central Asia, which are its partners. The OSCE has opened offices in Central Asia, including in Ashgabat, Astana, Bishkek, Dushanbe, as well as in Uzbekistan, where it operates in one area or another and connects countries.
More than 40 experts and stakeholders from across Central Asia gathered for a regional workshop on addressing the growing problem of drug use and new psychoactive substances (NSAIDs) among young people. The workshop, which took place on October 2 and 3, was organized by the OSCE secretariat, the OSCE Program Office in Dushanbe (Program Office) and the European Program on Combating Drugs and Organized Crime (EU-ACT 2). The event was attended by law enforcement experts, politicians and representatives of international organizations.
It should be noted that the OSCE also plays an important role in police reform in the Republic of Tajikistan, which is why the OSCE office in Dushanbe hosted forums where young allies from all over Central Asia were involved and invited, especially on psychoactive drugs that trap young people in special groups, it was emphasized that young people with high professionalism They should be aware of such cases and participate in seminars in their countries, including at home., and all television networks should express their performances in order to prevent such undesirable risks.

The above-mentioned issues also indicate that both countries value cooperation with failed organizations well and strive for a new international quality, which they maintain well, constantly preparing for the re-adoption of new documents.
