High-Level Saudi Delegation to Visit Pakistan

-

Islamabad (TDI): A high-level Saudi delegation led by Investment Minister Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih is set to visit Pakistan from October 9 to 11, aimed at enhancing bilateral cooperation and economic ties between the two nations, according to a statement by the Foreign Office.

The visit comes as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen trade and investment partnerships between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, with both countries working closely in recent months to advance economic collaboration.

Earlier this year, Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman reaffirmed the Kingdom’s commitment to fast-track an investment package of $5 billion for Pakistan, highlighting the strategic importance of the bilateral relationship.

Pakistan has increasingly turned to regional allies, particularly Saudi Arabia, to secure much-needed foreign investment and trade deals, which it views as essential to alleviating its deepening economic crisis.

The country is grappling with high inflation, currency depreciation, and dwindling resources, prompting Islamabad to seek partnerships that could help revive its struggling economy.

The delegation is expected to meet with Pakistan’s Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Asif Ali Zardari during the visit.
