High Commissioner of South Africa Visits FWCCI

Faislabad, 9 November 2021 (TDI): South African High Commissioner to Pakistan M.MAdikiza visits Faisalabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

In a bid to improve Pakistan and South Africa Ties, South African High Commissioner is on his visit to Faislabad and other cities to engage with the business community and civil society leaders.

On his visit to the Women Chamber, the High Commissioner addressed the female entrepreneurs. In the conversation, he said that the COVID-19 threat is receding these days and there is a huge opportunity for new avenues of trade to open. This also will help Pakistan and South Africa to work on the opportunities in both business and tourism opportunities.

South African High Commissioner appreciates Pakistan’s “Engage Africa” policy and said that Pakistan businessmen and women should explore ways to collaborate with the female trade partners in South Africa. He was of the view that both countries are having excellent natural beauties especially from the beaches and majestic hills. He said that we should concentrate on building on this untapped potential.

On the occasion, Nighat Shahid, Mrs. Nighat Shahid, President Faisalabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FWCCI) explained the overall growth roadmap about the Chamber. She said that the Chamber would like to send a delegation of female entrepreneurs to directly interact with females of that country and explore new opportunities for the promotion of bilateral trade.

The President of the Chamber shared that there is an overall focus on Women’s Entrepreneurship Development. The chamber has also organized All Pakistan Women Chambers Presidents Conference on ‘Women empowerment’ starting from  15the November  2021 in Faisalabad.

Farhat Nisar, VP offered a vote of thanks while Sobia Aqeel, SVP Shama Ahmad, Executive Committee Member, and others were present on the occasion.
