HEMS 2025 Opens in Lahore with Global Participation

Lahore (TDI): The fourth edition of the Health, Engineering, and Minerals Show (HEMS) opened at the Expo Centre in Lahore on Thursday, organized by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) in collaboration with the Ministry of Commerce.

The three-day event is positioned as one of Pakistan’s key trade exhibitions for the year, offering a platform for international collaboration, investment, and business development.

HEMS 2025 is expected to welcome over 194 exhibitors and more than 900 international delegates from 70 countries, reflecting increased global interest and participation.

The event covers a diverse range of industries including pharmaceuticals, surgical instruments, automotive parts, cutlery, sports goods, furniture, chemicals, light engineering, and minerals.

A notable feature of this year’s show is the expanded Mineral Investment Pavilion, which aims to connect investors, policymakers, and industry experts directly.

In addition, the 2025 edition will introduce a dedicated gems and jewelry segment, including a fashion showcase scheduled for today at the Pearl Continental Hotel in Lahore.

The showcase will feature collaborations between jewelry and fashion designers, with a focus on highlighting Pakistan’s gemstone heritage and artisanal expertise.

Speaking about the expo, Federal Minister of Commerce Jam Kamal Khan stated, “This event is a crucial step towards restoring investor confidence in Pakistan.”

He highlighted key economic indicators showing positive trends such as rising remittances, growth in the stock market, decrease of inflation rate, and decreasing policy rates—factors that are drawing international investors to Pakistan.

The event will also introduce several new initiatives such as interactive B2B engagement zones, startup demonstrations, and industrial site visits.

HEMS 2025 is providing opportunities for businesses to engage with trade promotion organizations, regulatory authorities, and industry experts through structured networking sessions and discussions on emerging trends.

The previous edition of the exhibition in 2024 attracted buyers from nearly 60 countries and led to multiple business agreements and partnerships.

TDAP anticipates even broader international engagement this year, supported by its Missions Abroad and the newly launched dedicated event portal, which offers resources and information for global participants.

HEMS 2025 aims to provide a space for showcasing Pakistan’s industrial strengths, supporting new partnerships, and encouraging innovation across the healthcare, engineering, and minerals sectors.
