This day holds great significance as a result of the 1965 conflict, in which Indian soldiers crossed the international boundary at night in an unexpected assault. The nation of Pakistan was effectively defended by its military forces.

In keeping with Quaid’s values of faith, solidarity, and discipline, the day serves as a remembrance of the strength and unity shown throughout that period.

Important combat took place during the conflict in border areas including Sindh, Sialkot, and Lahore.

September 6 is a significant date in Pakistan’s military and national history as a symbol of the nation’s defense, according to Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir’s special message for Defence Day.
