Islamabad, 5 September 2024 (TDI): Model and actress Hania Aamir, from Pakistan, has responded to a widely shared video on social media by stating that it is a deep fake made with artificial intelligence (AI).
An identically clad woman to Hania Aamir can be seen in the video, which went viral earlier this week, making provocative poses.
After being uploaded on social media at first, the video was taken down by an entertainment website, which mistakenly claimed that the woman was Hania Aamir.
The actress responded by stating that the viral video is not hers on her Instagram stories.
She stated, “The bold video going viral is fake and was created with artificial intelligence.”
Calling for greater accountability, the actress expressed her annoyance at the media for disseminating false information.
The improper application of AI technology also disturbed Hania Aamir, who questioned why laws weren’t put in place to stop these kinds of things.

She demanded stronger regulations to control the use of AI in media output, saying that “someone needs to explain to these showbiz websites that this video is not mine.”
A discussion concerning privacy and the necessity of legal frameworks to handle the exploitation of AI has been sparked by the actress’s remarks, which have brought attention to the growing problem of deep fakes and their effects on public figures.
