Nuuk, 29 August 2022 (TDI): Members of the United Kingdom in Denmark Embassy attended Arctic Circle Greenland Forum in Greenland.
Topics on climate, science, prosperity, geopolitics, and progress were discussed. The United Kindom is cooperating on all topics with the Foreign Ministry of Greenland.

Arctic Circle Greenland Forum
The Arctic Circle Greenland Forum will be held in Nuuk’s Katuaq Culture Centre.
The Arctic Circle returned to Greenland for the 2022 Forum as a result of the success of the 2016 Forum, the country’s largest international conference at the time.
The Greenland Forum of 2022 concentrated on, Climate and Economic Growth, Progress, and Geopolitics.
Arctic and Greenland are interwoven; when one is mentioned, the other immediately comes to mind.
Security, climate change, and economic development are undergoing significant changes in the Arctic.

As a resilient nation, Greenland is well-equipped to face the developing Arctic’s problems and opportunities.
UK and Greenland Relations
The Foreign, Commonwealth, and Development Office of the United Kingdom continues to work with Greenlandic counterparts to ensure that the bilateral relationship between the United Kingdom and Greenland flourishes and advances mutual interests.
The United Kindom is very close to the Nordic regions like Iceland and Greenland. The Nordic countries are aware that they share a lot of similarities with the UK.
Greenland is cooperating with the Nordic Council and the Nordic Council of Ministers. They have been cooperating a lot on Arctic issues.
The link between the United Kingdom and Greenland in terms of trade is crucial to the success of the fishing industry in both nations. Both states are very well-developed countries and economies.
Greenland has sustained engagement and is examining ways to secure a prosperous future trading relationship.
The UK has a long-standing interest when it comes to Arctic issues and has a historic engagement. Fisheries are also an important sector in which the UK is engaged.
