Greece donates 200,000 Vaccines to Libya

Tripoli, 18 August 2021- (TDI): The government of Greece donates almost 200,000 vaccines to Libya considering the Global pandemic Covid 19. The vaccines were shipped in Hellenic Air force a special flight and handed over to the Libyan government. Greece is the first-ever nation that is donating vaccines to Libya.

Regarding this, an official ceremony was held at the Tripoli International Airport. Omar Muhammed Salah the Libyan Deputy Foreign Minister received the Greek delegation led by Ioannis Smyrlis, the Secretary-General for International Economic Affairs, and Marios Themistocleous the Secretary-General of Primary Health care. Ioannis Smyrlis expressed his nations’ readiness to assist the Libyan government in the provision of necessary vaccines and its efforts undertaken by the Greek government for the recovery of Libya to address the pandemic.
