Islamabad (TDI): The federal government on Monday reduced petrol price by Rs2.07 and High-Speed Diesel (HSD) by Rs3.40 per litre. The new prices of petrol and HSD are Rs247.3 and Rs246.29 per litre, respectively.

The finance ministry announced new rates as per its fortnightly revision. The revised prices will come into effect from midnight.
Similarly, the government has also cut light-speed diesel price by Rs1.3 per litre, bringing the new price to Rs140.9. The kerosene oil price has also gone down by Rs3.57 per litre.

This is the fifth consecutive price cut by the government. Earlier on September 15, the government had slashed petrol prices by Rs10 per litre, taking the rate to Rs249.10 per litre.
