Global Business Alliance Signs MoU With Eastern Chamber of Poland

-

Warsaw (TDI): A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between the Global Business Alliance (GBA), Pakistan and the Eastern Chamber of Commerce, Poland to facilitate cooperation, trade, investment, and economic integration between the two countries.

The agreement aims to establish a structured framework for cooperation to promote trade, investment, innovation, and private sector engagement between Pakistan and Poland, with a special focus on connectivity between Eastern Europe and South Asia.

The MoU was formally signed by Zenon Chodowiec, Chairman of the Eastern Chamber of Commerce, and Muhammad Asif Noor, Chairman of the Global Business Alliance.

The ceremony was attended by several key figures from both sides, including Dr. Farhat Asif, Chairperson of the Diplomatic Insight Group; Dariusz Mańkowski, Deputy Chairman of the Eastern Chamber of Commerce; Michał Turkiewicz, Chairman of the Board of Pyrko Ltd; Polish academician Marisuz Marszewski; and Ping Liu, Incharge of the Association of Exporters and Importers of Central and Eastern Europe.

The Global Business Alliance is a Pakistan-based platform dedicated to promoting international trade facilitation and business diplomacy.

The Eastern Chamber of Commerce, based in Poland, is a non-governmental and non-profit organization representing the interests of the business community in Eastern Poland. Both institutions acknowledged the untapped potential for expanding economic cooperation, and the MoU lays the foundation for coordinated efforts in mutual areas of interest.

MOU

The primary objective of the agreement is to foster long-term partnerships that promote bilateral trade, facilitate investment, and encourage collaborative ventures between businesses in both countries.

Key areas identified during the signing include trade facilitation, logistics coordination, business development, policy dialogue, and support for small and medium-sized enterprises and startups.

The agreement also aims to encourage knowledge exchange and joint initiatives that would contribute to regional economic integration and sustainable development.

The MoU outlines a number of collaborative activities to be undertaken by the two organizations. These include promoting sector-specific trade and investment opportunities, sharing market intelligence and research, and organizing reciprocal trade missions and business delegations.

Both sides have agreed to co-host international exhibitions, economic forums, and trade fairs in their respective countries to create platforms for networking and engagement.

There is also an emphasis on enhancing cooperation in emerging areas such as the green economy, renewable energy, ICT, circular economy, and smart agriculture, to address shared challenges and tap into future growth sectors.

A strong component of the agreement is the facilitation of B2B engagements through logistical and bureaucratic support to business visitors from both countries.

Additionally, policy-level exchanges will allow both sides to collaborate on improving the trade environment by identifying regulatory barriers and proposing reforms for smoother market access.

The MoU also places importance on strengthening innovation ecosystems and capacity building through cross-border training programs and linkage with accelerators and incubators.

To ensure effective implementation, both GBA and the Eastern Chamber of Commerce have agreed to appoint dedicated focal persons.

A joint working committee may also be established to oversee the progress of the cooperation, recommend new activities, and conduct annual reviews to evaluate the outcomes.

The signing of the MoU reflects the growing interest of both Pakistan and Poland in enhancing economic ties and building resilient partnerships that can support sustainable development and regional cooperation. It is a timely initiative that positions both countries to leverage their respective strengths and engage more strategically in the global economy.
