The high-level dialogue was also attended by Ina Lepel, Ambassador of Germany to Pakistan, and Saqlain Syeda, Ambassador of Pakistan to Germany, underscoring the institutional depth and mutual commitment between the two governments.
Secretary Economic Affairs Muhammad Humair Karim expressed appreciation for Germany’s continued and valued support, particularly in promoting renewable energy initiatives, employment generation, and social protection systems.

He emphasized the importance of aligning future cooperation with Pakistan’s Economic Transformation Plan “URAAN Pakistan,” which aims to accelerate sustainable and equitable development across key sectors.
In her remarks, Christine Toetzke commended Pakistan’s ongoing reform efforts and reaffirmed Germany’s commitment to supporting the country in tackling challenges related to climate change, economic transformation, and social inclusion.
Ambassador Ina Lepel highlighted the enduring friendship between Pakistan and Germany, stating that Berlin “values its long-standing partnership with Pakistan and remains committed to working together for sustainable growth, good governance, and people-centered development.”
The negotiations concluded with the signing of the Summary Record of the 2025 Pakistan-Germany Bilateral Negotiations on Development Cooperation by Secretary Karim and Director-General Toetzke. The signing formally marked the new development commitments and the shared resolve to deepen collaboration.
Both sides reaffirmed their intent to expand cooperation under the Pakistan-German Climate and Energy Partnership, enhance coordination on vocational training and youth employment, and continue joint efforts in social protection and disaster resilience.
The next round of Pakistan-Germany Bilateral Negotiations on Development Cooperation is scheduled to take place in Berlin in 2027, continuing the tradition of mutual trust and shared progress between the two nations.
