German embassy announced winners


June 13, 2021 (TDI): German Ambassador to Pakistan Bernhard Schlagheck announced the winners of the GREENit film festival. In February German embassy started a film competition. The theme of this film competition was environmental pollution. The applicant for this competition had to make a 5 minutes long film or documentary on the rising issue of environmental pollution or environmental security. The ambassador said they received many impressive films across the country on the issue of environment and he thanked everyone who participated and helped them to raise awareness about this important topic.
The German ambassador shared a video message in which Head of Press and Culture Officer Christine Rosenberg in the German embassy Islamabad shared the winners of the GREENit film competition. The winner of this film competition was Majid Ali Baig and his team for their film Now or Never. Daniyal Akbar and his team hold the second position for their film Being Human.

Last but not least the third prize for the film competition goes to Lyari Girls from Karachi for their film Environment on the Front Line. Christine Rosenberg congratulated all the winners and also mentioned several other upcoming competitions like this to be held this year. She requested everyone who was a part of this competition to stay committed to the cause and protection of the environment.
