GBA and Somon Travel join hands to promote PAK-Tajik Tourism and Business

Dushanbe,  July 9, 2024 (TDI):  The Global Business Alliance of Pakistan (GBA) and LLC “Somon Travel” of Tajikistan have joined hands and signed a Memorandum of Cooperation aimed at fostering and developing tourism and business relations between Pakistan and Tajikistan.

This partnership underscores a significant step towards enhancing bilateral ties and creating new opportunities for tourism and investment in both countries.

The Memorandum of Cooperation, signed by Muhammad Asif Noor, Chairman of the Global Business Alliance of Pakistan, and Umedjon Saidov, General Director of LLC “Somon Travel,” sets the foundation for a comprehensive collaboration across various sectors of the tourism industry.

This strategic alliance aims to leverage the unique cultural and historical heritage of both nations, promoting mutual growth and understanding.

Key areas of cooperation outlined in the Memorandum include the organization of mutual trips for tourism companies, hosting tourism exhibitions and forums, and the development of folk crafts.

Both parties are committed to facilitating entrepreneurial exchange and conducting specialized trainings and seminars for tourism professionals and the banking sector to enhance skills and knowledge.

The agreement emphasizes attracting investments into Tajikistan’s tourism sector, focusing on the creation of new facilities and infrastructure.

In a significant move to boost tourism, the partnership will promote Tajikistan’s tourism opportunities through Pakistani media channels.

Additionally, plans are underway to organize transit flights and pilgrimage tours, connecting Islamabad, Dushanbe, and Tehran, particularly during the pilgrimage season.

Both parties pledge to conduct their activities with mutual respect, trust, and adherence to their respective legal frameworks.

Information and experience will be shared to ensure the successful implementation of the Memorandum’s objectives. Efforts will also be made to attract new partners to expand the scope of cooperation.

This partnership marks a pivotal moment in PAK-Tajik relations, promising a vibrant future for tourism and business exchanges.

Muhammad Arshad, CEO of Hifi Holiday Club and Hifi Global Services was also present during the signing ceremony and assured his full support to make this MOU successful.
