Paris, (TDI): France announced on Wednesday that it has deployed military resources in the Middle East to counter Iranian threat, after a missile barrage launched by Iran towards Israel.
In its statement, France condemned the missile attacks and reaffirmed its strong commitment to Israel’s security.
However, the specifics of France’s military involvement were not shared, officials indicated that French forces played a role in intercepting Iranian missiles.
Iran declared that its missile operations against Israel were complete, barring any further provocations.
The situation has raised concerns about a potential wider conflict, with both Israel and the U.S. promising retaliation against Tehran’s actions.

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz warned that Iran’s actions could ignite a broader regional crisis, urging Hezbollah and Iran to stop their assaults on Israel.
He emphasized the urgent need to prevent a catastrophic escalation.
In diplomatic efforts, French Foreign Minister Jean-Noel Barrot spoke with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken to coordinate responses.

Additionally, France, Britain, Germany, Italy, and the United States are set to convene for discussions on the situation.
Last week, Paris and Washington had attempted to secure a temporary ceasefire in Lebanon, just hours before Israeli airstrikes targeted Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.
