Paris, 20 August 2021 (TDI): France has undertaken evacuation flights from Kabul, Afghanistan, that landed in Paris, France via Abu Dhabi. These evacuation flights are carried out in the light of the current Afghan situation where the Taliban have replaced the former Afghan government led by President Ashraf Ghani.
Almost 500 French, Afghan, 21 Indians, and people belonging to different nationalities have been evacuated and given safe haven in Paris. This has been done to ensure the safety and security of people from Kabul no matter to which nationality they belong.
Almost 3 to 4 evacuation flights have been carried out taking people from different nationalities and giving them protection. In this regard armed forces, police, and diplomats have been praised for their continuous efforts.
