Dushanbe, 17 September 2021 (TDI): A meeting took place between the Foreign ministers of Russia, Iran, Pakistan, and China to ruminate about the prevalent situation in Afghanistan. It took place in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, on the sidelines of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit 2021.
The objective of the meeting was to discuss the Afghanistan scenario and lend support for the establishment of an inclusive government body. Additionally, other issues discussed by the participants were the eradication of narcotics, terrorism, and threat to the stability of the neighboring states.
Furthermore, the participants reached a consensus on the possibility of a future meeting between Russia as well as the Foreign ministers of the neighboring states of Afghanistan, to further discuss the issue, in Tehran.
