New York, 23 September 2021 (TDI): Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Shah Mahmood Qureshi, met Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar, Sheikh-Mohammed-Bin-Abdul-Rahman-Bin-Jassim-Al Thani. The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 76th session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
The two Foreign Ministers discussed bilateral, regional and global issues. The precarious situation in Afghanistan was also brought up. Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi underscored the significance of a stable order in Afghanistan. He said that peace and stability in Afghanistan is crucial not only for regional security but also for the international order. Both the leaders agreed to collaborate on the situation in Afghanistan.
Moreover, Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi expressed his resolve to further strengthen diplomatic relations with Qatar at all levels.
