Islamabad, 13 October 2021 (TDI): The Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Shah Mahmood Qureshi spoke to the Foreign Minister of New Zealand, Nanaia Mahuta via video link.
Both dignitaries exchanged views on fostering bilateral relations between Pakistan and New Zealand. He also talked about the matter of cancellation of Pakistan tour by New Zealand cricket team.
New Zealand’s cricket team arrived in Pakistan in September. At the eleventh hour they cancelled the tour which in Pakistan has not been received as a good practice.

They also discussed on the evolving situation in Afghanistan. Foreign minister Shah Mahmood highlighted the need of international community’s proactive engagement in Afghanistan. He said Afghanistan should not be abandoned.
He also briefed his counterpart about India human rights violations in Jammu and Kashmir, and apprised her of the dossier Pakistan issued in this regard.
Nanaina Mahuta appreciated Pakistan’s evacuation efforts in Kabul, Afghanistan.
