Paris, 06 October 2021 (TDI): The Foreign Minister of Republic of Luxembourg, Jean Asselborn met the Foreign Minister of The Republic of Korea, Chung Eui Yong.
The top diplomats of both countries discussed a range of issues of mutual concern. The Ministers discussed strong bilateral relations and explored ways to increase economic, strategic, cultural, and political partnership.
The regional developments also came under discussion. This includes the upcoming climate conference in Scotland and the new government in Japan. There are speculations that the new government in Japan might reconsider its relationship with the Republic of Korea.
Luxembourg and South Korea collaborate closely on bilateral trade and regional issues. The trade between the two countries stands at more than 200 million dollars annually. The relationship is defined by their strategic convergence and preference for the United States as a guarantor of security.
