Islamabad, 1 February 2022 (TDI): Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Shah Mahmood Qureshi expressed his appreciation for the operational preparedness of the Pakistan Navy on Tuesday 1 February.
The Foreign Minister did so in a meeting with Naval Chief, Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi at the Naval headquarters in Islamabad. In the meeting between the two several other matters were discussed.

First of all, the Foreign Minister of Pakistan conveyed that he is quite satisfied with the operational capabilities of the Naval Force. He praised the constant professionalism that is displayed by the Navy.
He expressed his appreciation for the role the entity has played in achieving the foreign policy objectives as well. Furthermore, Shah Mahmood Qureshi said that the government will fully support it whenever required.
He acknowledged that the maritime challenges are always increasing. While acknowledging the earlier fact, he further stated that government will assist the force in overcoming these challenges.
It is pertinent to mention here that the Foreign Minister underscored the role of the Maritime Sector in the economy. The sector plays a part in the economic development of the country.
Additionally, the role of the Navy in this regard has remained commendable, he added. As far as the remarks of the Naval Chief, Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi are concerned, he assured the Foreign Minister of the commitment of the Pakistan Navy.
He added that the force will remain forever committed to the motherland. Pakistan Navy will always make sure to defend Pakistan’s interests and waters. It has a no-compromise policy when it comes to defense.

Previously in the month of January, the Pakistan Navy for the twelfth time assumed the command of the Combined Maritime Task Force (CTF 150). This distinction was yet another achievement and proof of the professionalism and competency of the Pakistan Navy.
