This travel advisory comes as the ongoing Israel – Iran war has created serious security concerns in the whole region. Both sides continue to exchange missiles for the eighth consecutive day and the collective impact of violence threatens people in the neighboring countries.
Recently, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also released a statement denying the rumors regarding the closure of Iran-Pakistan border “This to clarify that contrary to some media reports, all border crossings along the Pakistan-Iran border remain fully operational,” it said.
In addition to this, earlier on June 16, the Ministry confirmed the evacuation of 268 Pakistani nationals from Iraq while another 3000 nationals have also been evacuated from Iran through multiple routes.
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Pakistan, Ishaq Dar, also instructed Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) to stay in contact with the Ministry to ensure smooth and secure return of Pakistani nationals.
