East Africa: July 9, 2021 (TDI) On 8 July, The Minister of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation Ambassador Ms. Liberata Mulamula had a meeting with the World Health Organization(WHO) Resident Representative Dr. Tigest Ketsela Mengestu.
The two leaders discussed the challenges facing the health sector in East Africa. Also, that there is a need for a proper healthcare system in African countries. Amongst other health issues, the leaders discussed the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.
