This groundbreaking license comes as the UAE has recently established a federal entity to regulate gambling, ending years of speculation about the country’s stance on the industry.
Historically, gambling has been illegal in the conservative Gulf region.
The move to allow gambling aligns with the UAE’s efforts to enhance its position as a leading trade, tourism, and financial hub in the region.
