Islamabad, 12 August 2024 (TDI): Six Afghan citizens were arrested at the Pak-Afghan Torkham border crossing for fo obtaining Pakistani passports through illegal means.
The accused were placed under physical remand for a day before being brought to a court of law. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) arrested them.
Their judicial remand was imposed by the court, and they were taken to jail.
Passports and other documents, including a Pakistani Form-B, were discovered with those Afghan citizens, according to the FIA.
The passports they were using, had been arranged by an agent in Quetta by the name of Qari Hafiz.
With the Pakistani passports, the accused were trying to enter Saudi Arabia. Those who helped with the passport acquisition will shortly be caught, according to the FIA.
Two important gang members were caught by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) earlier on July 12 as part of a large-scale visa fraud scam that tricked more than 350 citizens.
