Rome, 12 October 2022 (TDI): The FAO (Food and Agricultural Organization) Science and Innovation Forum will be co-organized by the World Food Forum (WFF) and Hand-in-Hand Investment Forum.

The event is scheduled from 17 October 2022 to 21 October 2022.

About the FAO forum

FAO Science and Innovation Forum 2022 will be focusing on highlighting the centrality of Science, Technology, and Innovation (STI) for agrifood systems transformation. The event concentrates on encouraging a diversity of perspectives based on science. It thereby facilitates rationalization and inclusiveness of debate.

In addition, the Science and Innovation Forum involve independently organized side events. Also, various partners and Members will be showcasing their innovations and insights at the event.

Moreover, the event will contribute to enhancing dialogues across society to increase the deployment of science-based evidence on emerging technologies for agrifood systems.

The special event entitled “The role of digital technologies in agriculture production and consumption” will be held in virtual format on 20 October 2022.

The week will foster dialogue and debate among relevant stakeholders. It includes farmers, policymakers, Agri-investors, and scientists, tuning in from the four corners of the world. The goal of this event is to move the needle for food security to achieve a better food future for all, leaving no one behind.

Roundtables, panel discussions, and various interactive formats are part of the event. Moreover, the stakeholders will engage in dialogues and share experiences around science-based actions and innovative solutions.

In addition, the forum will promote effective science communication and analyze options for strengthening science and evidence-based decision-making.
