EU humanitarian bridge flight arrives in Kabul

-

Kabul, 3 October 2021 (TDI): The European Union (EU) sent a consignment of medical supplies to Afghanistan under the aegis of their “Humanitarian Bridge to Afghanistan.”

It was the second flight that landed in Kabul carrying 25-tonnes of life-saving medical supplies. EU has been actively engaged in extending help to the Afghans in need.

Janez Lenarčič, European Commissioner for Crisis Management, in charge of European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid tweeted about this and said that the EU will continue addressing the humanitarian concerns of Afghans.

Moreover, the EU is collaborating with United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), Save Children EU and the World Health Organization (WHO) in this virtuous act.

The first flight landed at Kabul Airport on Wednesday (September 29) carrying 32 metric tonnes of surgical and medical supplies.

It must be noted that since the fall of Kabul drought ensued in major cities of Afghanistan hence the condition was exacerbated. EU is deeply concerned by all this, ergo trying to fulfil the requirements of Afghans in dire need of help.
