Islamabad, 29 November 2021 (TDI): Androulla Kaminara received the Global Ambassador Award for her public diplomacy contributions. Androulla Kaminara is the Ambassador of the European Union to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. She expressed her gratitude to her team members from European Union, Pakistani Counterparts, and her husband.
Diplomacy is a multi-dimensional and tough profession. It requires efficiency in interpersonal skills, communication and leadership abilities, conflict resolution as well as emotional intelligence to navigate professional interactions. Androulla Kaminara; has been serving for European Union Commission and EU external affairs service for almost two decades. She made it possible with her distinguished abilities; to convert the bilateral relations in strategic partnerships and to work in the public to public diplomacy levels.
Ambassador Kaminara, was born and raised in Cyprus and has Greek and British nationalities. Her work to the promotion of trade, commerce, interfaith harmony, development cooperation, and unending support for Solution Strategy for Afghan Refugees (SSAR) is notable.
As the EU Ambassador to Pakistan, her support for Pakistani SMEs for extending export to the European Nations in IT, gems and jewelry, surgical items, auto parts, textile products is always helpful. The bilateral ties between Pakistan and European Union have touched new horizons, under Ambassador Kaminara’s leadership.
As Chair of the Pakistan Chapter of the Core Group SSAR, she aims to ease the process for Afghan Refugees in Pakistan and promote Pakistan’s efforts as a host nation for these refugees for almost four decades.
