Toronto, 13 April 2023 (TDI): As a result of the UAE and Canada’s newly extended air services agreement, Etihad Airways has announced it would enhance its flight capacity to Toronto.
In order to provide travellers with a daily connection, Etihad Airways will start operating an additional weekly flight between Abu Dhabi and Toronto in addition to its current six-per-week travel schedule on May 30.
According to Arik De, Chief Revenue Officer of Etihad Airlines, “Etihad is thrilled to begin flying daily between Abu Dhabi and Toronto, which has been one of our busiest routes in 2023 as a result of the rapid recovery and continued growth in travel demand between the UAE and Canada.”
It is said also said by Arik De, that a daily service will be provided to business and leisure travellers, the Canadian diaspora and the large body of students from the UAE enrolled in Canada’s world-class universities with a convenient flight option every day of the week.
The government and civil aviation authorities are thanked by him for laying the groundwork for the air links to be strengthened between the two countries, which are considered essential for tourism, trade and bilateral relations.

In October 2005, Etihad Airways began serving Toronto, and this year will mark its 18th anniversary of doing so. Etihad has collaborated with WestJet under an interline agreement and with Air Canada under a codeshare agreement to offer guests convenient connectivity to over 15 destinations in Toronto.
Toronto, the most populous city in Canada, is a dynamic and cosmopolitan destination that visitors must explore for its diverse culture, stunning architecture, and exciting food scene. Some of its iconic landmarks include the CN Tower, which is among over 80 skyscrapers in the city, as well as the Royal Ontario Museum and the Art Gallery of Ontario.
