Bridgetown, 18 August 2022 (TDI): The Trade Finance Bank for Africa has announced that Ethiopia Airlines will directly sponsor a return trip between Africa and Barbados for the delegates.
The delegates will be participating in the AfriCaribbean Trade and Investment Forum 2022 (ACTIF 2022). This was shared in a tweet by the official Twitter account of Afreximbank.

The ACTIF 2022 will take place in Bridgetown, Barbados. The Forum will last from 1st to 3rd September 2022. It is organized by the African Export-Import Bank.
The African Union (AU) Commission, the AfCFTA Secretariat, the Africa Business Council, the CARICOM Secretariat as well as the Caribbean Export Development Agency are collaborating with Afreximbank for the event.
The theme of the ACTIF 2022 is the theme ‘One People, One Destiny: Uniting and Reimagining Our Future’. ACTIF 2022 is expected to contribute to the implementation of the AfCFTA and the Caribbean trade development agenda.
ACTIF 2022: Objectives
750 participants representing Africa and the Caribbean are awaited to be part of the ACTIF 2022. This involves representatives from both the commercial sector and governments as well as investors, stakeholders in development, and organizations that encourage trade.
Moreover, the main purpose of this event is to improve ties between the two areas’ business sectors and expose and spread trade and investment.
Aside from that, creating special economic zones (SEZs) and industrial parks, enhancing agricultural output, widening agribusiness opportunities, and assuring food security are also the focus.
The Forum will focus on business-to-business collaborations and group meetings on a variety of subjects, such as; facilities and systems, financing, and trade logistics.
Adding to these, it will add regional cooperation, foster trade, and tourism, advancing industrialization as well as manufacturing.
