Islamabad (TDI): “Esthetic Bridges” – a collaborative Chinese and Pakistani art exhibition was inaugurated on Pakistan Day. Chinese Ambassador Jiang Zaidong called the exhibition a bridge for in-depth dialogue not just between the artists but also the countries.
Addressing the ceremony of the exhibition, Ambassador Zaidong welcomed the exhibition as a great and colorful start for the spring season.
“This exhibition lives up to its name, not only showcasing the unique charm of Chinese and Pakistani art but also building a bridge for in-depth dialogue between artists from both countries,” he noted.
Ambassador Zaidong referred to Chinese Global Civilization Initiative as a door to a peaceful and culturally rich world.
“As the Chinese saying goes, a single flower does not make a spring; it takes a hundred flowers in full bloom to fill the garden with the essence of the season. President Xi Jinping attaches great importance and actively advocated for exchanges and mutual learning among different civilizations,” he said while reflecting on China’s vision.

Talking about the launch of “Esthetic Bridges,” the Ambassador said that China is looking forward to undertake an interesting cultural exchange with Islamic Civilization and this exhibition is a great way to introduce each other with their respective artistic traditions.
The inauguration coincided with 85th Pakistan Day celebrations and the Chinese Ambassador took this opportunity to wish Pakistan and its people on this occasion.
“Today is Pakistan’s National Day, and we extend our warmest congratulations to our Pakistani brothers and sisters! This reminds me of the same day last year when I had the honor of being invited to attend the National Day parade, witnessing the moment when the guard of honor of the Chinese People’s Liberation Army marched in, and the entire audience of Pakistani spectators spontaneously stood up and applauded warmly,” he recalled how people on both sides connect deeply.
He emphasized that Pakistan and China stand firmly together in the face of all challenges.
