ISLAMABAD, (TDI): Newly appointed envoys from six countries presented their Letters of Credence as ambassadors to Pakistan to President Asif Ali Zardari during a ceremony at Aiwan-e-Sadr.
The envoys include representatives from the Kyrgyz Republic, State of Palestine, Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Uzbekistan, Kenya, and the Republic of Turkiye, who presented their diplomatic credentials to the president.
The president received credentials from Avazbek Atakhanov, the Ambassador-designate of the Kyrgyz Republic; Dr. Zuhair Mohammad Hamdallah Zaid from the State of Palestine; Choe Chang Man from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea; Alisher Tukhtaey from Uzbekistan; Lt Gen (Retd) Peter Mbogo Njiru, the High Commissioner-designate of Kenya; and Irfan Neziroglu from Turkiye. Each envoy also held separate meetings with the president.

During the ceremony, President Zardari welcomed and congratulated the envoys on their appointments, expressing hope that they would contribute to strengthening mutually beneficial bilateral relations with Pakistan in trade, economy, and culture.

Upon their arrival at Aiwan-e-Sadr, the envoys were honored with a guard of honor from a distinguished contingent of the Pakistan Armed Forces.
