Ankara (TDI): The Embassy of Pakistan in Ankara hosted a community event to observe Youm-e-Tashakur, with the participation of members of the Pakistani community residing in Turkey.
The event was held to mark and reflect on the developments related to Pakistan’s military successful response following India’s provocations.
In his address, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Turkey, Yousaf Junaid, stated that the observance of this day is intended to express gratitude and commemorate the outcome of Pakistan’s response to what has been described as Indian military actions targeting Pakistani territory.
The Ambassador recounted that following the Pahalgam attack in IIOJK, Pakistan had called for a neutral and credible international investigation. According to him, this appeal was supported internationally but was not acknowledged by India, which instead launched attacks on Pakistani soil.
Ambassador Junaid termed the action a breach of international law and humanitarian norms, particularly due to the loss of civilian lives.
He stated that Pakistan exercised its right to self-defense through Operation Bunyaan-un-Marsoos, which he described as a strategic military operation aimed at responding to attacks on Pakistan’s military facilities.
Throughout the event, participants reflected on the role of Pakistan’s Armed Forces and the broader national response. The Ambassador acknowledged the collective stance taken by the Pakistani leadership and public during the period of heightened tensions.

He also conveyed appreciation to the Turkish government and people for what he described as moral support and solidarity during that time.
The event concluded with remarks underscoring the importance of unity, national resilience, and diplomatic engagement.
Ambassador Junaid reiterated Pakistan’s position on regional peace and the importance of international cooperation in upholding international norms and conflict resolution.
