Egypt’s FM met with his Burundi’s Counterpart


Cairo, 7 September 2021(TDI): On Tuesday, Egypt’s Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukri met with his Burundian counterpart, Minister of Foreign Relations and International Cooperation Albert Shinjiro.

According to an Egyptian army spokesman, the Egyptian and Burundian cooperation procedure allows the two armies to exchange expert knowledge and reflects the two armies’ general agreement on regional and international issues.

The two sides talked about significant Egyptian-Burundian relations, ways to strengthen them in various areas, as well as a variety of regional and global issues of mutual interest.

Burundian President Évariste Ndayishimiye paid an official three-day visit to Egypt in March 2021, where he met with many high-level political figures.
