Egyptian Foreign Minister presents Egypt’s Foreign Policy


Washington, 11 November 2021 (TDI): Wilson Center organizes a discussion with the title “Assessing Regional Dynamics: The View From Egypt.”

Wilson Center Middle East Program Chair James Jeffrey moderated the discussion with the Egyptian Foreign Minister.  The Foreign Minister of Egypt Sameh Shoukry presented the viewpoint of Egyptian foreign policy and Egypt’s efforts at the regional level.


The Egyptian Foreign Minister covered the developments in North African and the Middle East regions. These regions are of vital importance to US and Egypt.

The Egyptian Foreign Minister is on a visit to the US for strategic Dialogue. Sameh Shoukry affirmed continuing efforts to bolster cooperation, coordination for international challenges, and distinguish bilateral relations.

Earlier, the Foreign Minister met with US Secretary of State, Antony Blinken and discussed both countries’ strategic cooperation and regional and international issues of mutual concern.

During the visit, the Egyptian Foreign Minister stressed the importance of continuing efforts to boost Egypt-America relations and achieve the aspiration of two friendly states.
