Egypt sends COVID-19 medical supplies to Tunisia

Egypt: July 12, 2021(TDI):  On Saturday, the government of Egypt announced that they have dispatched 31 tons of medical supplies to Tunisia to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Egyptian health and population minister Hala Zayed said the Egyptian government had sent medical aid to Tunisia under the directive of President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi as Egypt is keen to strengthen its relations with Tunisia.

The Egypt ambassador in Addis Ababa Mr.Osman Abdel Khalek said on Twitter yesterday that “Egypt’s unwavering solidarity is with the people of Tunisia while they are going through these very difficult days with COVID-19 new powerful wave”.

The medical supplies include medical oxygen cylinders, oxygen regulators, facemasks, latex glove boxes, and doses of Remdesivir for COVID-19 patient’s treatment.
