Cairo, 21 September 2021 (TDI): Prime Minister of Egypt, Mostafa Madbouly told the members of the Cabinet about the offer of a Chinese company and said that Egypt received the Chinese offer to run and administer a Central Business District (CBD) in the New Administrative Capital. Furthermore, According to a cabinet statement, the Chinese proposal included a planned program for running the district and this will provide an investment facility to international investors and companies.
Moreover, it was stated that the Central Business District CBD, which will include 20 buildings, is being developed in collaboration. The planned cooperation comprises the New Urban Communities Authority by the Egyptian Ministry of Housing, and the China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC). The district also comprises the nearly finished 78-story Iconic Tower, which will be the highest structure in Africa when it is completed. Further it was stated that the total estimation of the project is nearly 3 billion dollars.
