Cairo, 23 September 2021 (TDI): Egyptian Interior Minister Mahmoud Tawfik welcomed Khaled Mazen, the Interior Minister of Libya, with his delegation in Cairo, on Monday. The two sides discussed methods to activate Egypt and Libya’s security relationship and measures to enable Libyan security cadres to benefit from Egyptian security knowledge. Meanwhile, the security partnership between Libya and Egypt was also consolidated by Egyptian Minister Mahmoud Tawfik.
Interior Minister Khaled Mazen also endorsed the advanced Egyptian security services and exercises. While on Saturday, Mohammad al-Hawaij, Trade and Economy Minister of Libya, also embraced the 14 MoUs agreement led by the Egyptian Government. However, the security and economic cooperation and agreements will lead both countries towards the highest contribution of mutual interest.
