Education Malaysia Global Services Host Networking Event in Pakistan

Islamabad (TDI): Education Malaysia Global Services (EMGS) hosted a networking reception in Pakistan’s capital city, to encourage Pakistani students to avail study opportunities in Malaysia.

The event was facilitated by the High Commission of Malaysia in Pakistan, and the High Commissioner himself graced the occasion with his presence.

According to the High Commission, the networking event reaffirmed “strong educational cooperation between Malaysia and Pakistan.”

Representatives from several leading Malaysian universities participated, including the University of Malaya, Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL), Asia Pacific University of Technology & Innovation (APU), UCSI University, and the University of Cyberjaya (UOC) participated in the event.

Addressing the gathering, High Commissioner Mazlan highlighted the “deep-rooted” and “brotherly” relationship between Malaysia and Pakistan, built on shared cultural, religious, and people-to-people ties.

He emphasized that Malaysia remains a preferred study destination for Pakistani students due to its high-quality education system, internationally recognized universities, and affordable tuition fees.

He noted that a growing number of Pakistani students are currently enrolled in leading Malaysian public and private universities, contributing positively to academic and cultural exchanges.

Speaking on the occasion, South Asia Head of EMGS, Moeen Ahmed highlighted Malaysia’s strong academic standards, industry-focused programs, and student-friendly environment.

He encouraged Pakistani students to explore the diverse study opportunities available at Malaysian universities, which offer globally competitive education and career pathways.

The event became a platform for dialogue, collaboration, and networking between Malaysian higher education institutions and Pakistan’s education stakeholders.

“The reception reaffirmed EMGS’s commitment to strengthening Malaysia–Pakistan educational cooperation and promoting Malaysia as a leading global education destination for Pakistani students,” a media handout read.
