Kabul: 26 July 2021 (TDI): Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Chairman of the High Council for National Reconciliation, had a meeting with the British diplomat and Ambassador to Afghanistan, Laurie Bristow. The meeting went well as various perspectives of the peace process were discussed in the meeting. Negotiations and the high-level talks held in Doha were also the centers of discussion.
The developments in Afghanistan regarding politics and security were also emphasized. Political and security development aided by the UK in Afghanistan was debated and considered a significant diplomatic advancement in relations. Dr. Abdullah Abdullah applauded and appreciated the UK for its support and assistance to Afghanistan and the peace and political settlement.
