Kabul: 26 July 2021 (TDI): Jasper Wieck is a new German Envoy appointed to Afghanistan and Pakistan. Dr. Abdullah Abdullah, Chairman of the High Council for National Reconciliation was delighted to have a meeting with Germany’s new Special Envoy for Afghanistan. The views regarding peace and political settlement in Afghanistan were exchanged. The peace talks held in Doha were discussed. The recent developments taking place in Afghanistan were emphasized.
Dr. Abdullah Abdullah appreciated and sincerely thanked Germany for its continued and unwavering help and endorsement of the peace process. It was also reaffirmed in the meeting that there is no military solution to the Afghan conflict and political settlement in Afghanistan.
