New York, 23 September 2021 (TDI): Najla El-Mangoush, the Libyan Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, met with Felix Plasencia Gonzalez, the Foreign Minister of Venezuela, in New York on Tuesday.
Najla El-Mangoush began the meeting by emphasizing the depth of connections between Libya and Venezuela. While encouraging diplomatic relations, Foreign Minister Najla El-Mangoush mentioned that Venezuela was the first Latin American country who established diplomatic relations with Libya.
Venezuelan Foreign Minister assured the diplomatic relations between both countries by reopening embassies in their capitals and stated that the Libyan Embassy would reopen in Caracas and the Venezuelan Embassy in Tripoli. Moreover, Venezuelan Foreign Minister Felix Plasencia Gonzalez also acknowledged that Venezuela would make adjoin relations with Libya and will be a gateway for it to the Caribbean and South America.
