Chitral is situated on the western bank of the Kunar River. Gilgit-Baltistan lies on its east and Swat Valley to its south-east.

While in the north lies China and Wakhan of Afghanistan. Afghanistan lies to its west. It has 35 small valleys, including Kalash, Shishi Koh, Mastuj, Tor Khow, and Khow are famous.

Known as the ‘palace of fairies’ it is also home to one of the giant peaks of Hindukush. Nearly all the peaks here are above 4000 feet.

Khanpur Dam Tour

Khanpur dam is one of the most stunning dams constructed over River Haro originating from Abbottabad. Situated near the town of Khanpur in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province, it is around 48 km (25 miles) from the capital Islamabad, on Taxila Harper Road.

Khanpur dam can store up to 110,000 acre-feet of water. It is an ideal place to enjoy boating, fishing, swimming, adventure, water sports, rock climbing, team rappelling, and watching migratory birds during winter.

Rakaposhi Basecamp, Nagar, Gilgit Baltistan

Rakaposhi is the 27th highest mountain in the world with an altitude of 7,788m. It is considered to be the most spellbinding mountain to look at.

Its summit is always covered in mist and clouds for which it is known as the “Mother of Mist”. The Rakaposhi Basecamp can easily be accessed from Minapin, Nagar District of Gilgit Baltistan.

Shogran, a beautiful hill station, is located at a height of 2,362M in Kaghan Valley in Mansehra District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. It is approximately 34 kilometres from Balakot via Kawai.

The valley is surrounded by thick pine trees and snow-covered peaks that give us a spectacular view.

It is open for visitors in both seasons, in summers the weather is mild and pleasant and during winters the valley is covered with heavy snow.
