DIG, GIFT University Partner to Drive Innovation and Global Outreach

Gujranwala (TDI): In a major step toward fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and global engagement, GIFT University has signed a comprehensive Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Diplomatic Insight Group (DIG), with strategic support from the Gujranwala Business Alliance (GBA).

The agreement outlines a university-wide collaboration that aims to launch impactful initiatives across the domains of education, diplomacy, trade, socio-economic development, and innovation.

The MoU was signed with a shared vision to empower the next generation of leaders with entrepreneurial thinking, ethical leadership values, and meaningful international exposure. DIG’s vast diplomatic and media networks, coupled with GBA’s deep industry engagement, will play a vital role in ensuring the real-world impact and global visibility of GIFT University’s academic and outreach initiatives.

Innovation

Under the agreement, the parties will work together to promote ethical and entrepreneurial mindsets among students and faculty, foster international collaborations in education, trade, diplomacy, and development, design and support innovation projects, research initiatives, and CSR-driven programs, enable community development through global best practices and inclusive student engagement, and position GIFT University as a globally relevant institution by leveraging DIG’s diplomatic influence and GBA’s industrial network.

The partnership will include joint development of capacity-building programs, applied research efforts, and social outreach campaigns. DIG will facilitate international linkages with diplomatic missions, donor agencies, and business communities to strategically position GIFT’s work on the global stage.

Meanwhile, GBA will focus on bridging academia with industry, supporting entrepreneurship and job creation through practical engagement and mentorship.

The MoU also includes plans for co-branding and media promotion of GIFT-led ventures through national and international platforms, as well as support in policy advocacy and access to multilateral forums.

Innovation

It was agreed that GIFT University will take the lead in designing and executing academic and community-based programs while DIG will act as a strategic enabler, providing international access, visibility, and policy-level linkages. It was also decided that GBA will ensure industry alignment, helping translate academic innovation into economic value.

To ensure effective implementation, a Joint Working Group (JWG) will be formed with representatives from all three institutions. The JWG will prepare annual work plans and conduct bi-annual reviews using key performance indicators (KPIs), such as international placements, policy outcomes, media coverage, and community engagement.

This MoU marks a significant milestone in GIFT University’s mission to convert knowledge into practical experience, and underscores its commitment to global partnerships that drive positive change in society.
