Denmark and UN to help Pakistan combat irregular migrations

-

Islamabad, 31st August 2021 (TDI): The government of Denmark has signed a DKK 10 million partnership with the United Nations International Organization for Migration (UN-IOM) to help Pakistani authorities tackle illegal cross-border migration issues.

The government of Denmark under this partnership will provide all the financial support to execute this extensive plan. The UN-IOM will help to build up borders and immigration technical capacity as regulatory officials work closely with vulnerable populations to promote legal migration and provide direct help to victims to reintegrate into society. Danish Ambassador to Pakistan, Lis Rosenholm, and the UN-IOM chief of mission to Pakistan, Mio Sato signed the Agreement.
