Defence Diplomacy- Chinese Ambassador met COAS

Islamabad:19, July 2021- (TDI):  Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan Nong Rong paid a visit to General Kamal Javed Bajwa, Chief of Staff of the Pakistan Army, at the headquarters today. 

 Following the recent Dasu bus incident involving Chinese citizens, the Civil Aviation Administration of China expressed its deepest condolences to the government and people of the Republic of China, especially the families of the victims. The Chief of Army Staff further stated that the Pakistan Army values its friendship with China and promised the full support/cooperation and safety of Chinese citizens working in Pakistan. 

COAS stated that while we are working for peace, we must firmly block any plans by enemy forces that question our determination, especially those that threaten China-Pakistan’s strategic cooperation. Both sides agreed that peace and stability in the region require continued participation and coordination.
