New York (TDI): Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar and Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita on Saturday agreed to enhance cooperation in trade, investment, connectivity and regional peace.
The two leaders met on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York, the Foreign Office said in a statement.
They reaffirmed their commitment to deepening Pakistan–Morocco relations and strengthening collaboration at multilateral fora.

Pakistan and Morocco enjoy longstanding brotherly ties, rooted in shared values of faith, history, and culture.
Diplomatic relations were established soon after Morocco’s independence, and the two countries have since maintained close political understanding.

In recent years, both sides have expressed interest in expanding economic cooperation, particularly in agriculture, textiles, pharmaceuticals, and tourism.
Trade between the two countries, while modest, has considerable potential for growth given their complementary markets.
